It had been a long day and she was tried. Also to make matters worse her morning sickness kicked in during her photo shoot which was horrible. All this time she had been hiding all her symptoms from Chance but for this past she couldn't, and her morning sickness had kicked in a few times in front of him the past couple of days. She knew he had to he concerned by luckily he hasn't asked her anything yet. But she knew it would only be a matter of time until he did. Alice looked at the clock and saw it was three, they sent her home early because she didn't look good and after vomiting twice they didn't want to risk a third time.
So she got sent home like a kid from school for doing something bad or getting sick. She sighed a bit, she knew it would be a little while before Chance got home but she knew that one of these days she would have to tell him because she wouldn't be able to keep it from him much longer. "Ok...I have to tell him today..." Alice looked down a bit and then took out her pigtails and let her long blonde hair down since she was getting a headache. She then changed into a pair of her sweat suits since she was feeling lazy. Under her sweatshirt she had once of Chance's T-shirts that she liked wearing.
Alice then layed down on the couch and put her hand on her belly and sighed. She felt a little nauseous but it wasn't bad enough to cause her to vomit again, plus she was beginning to feel sleepy, her fatigue kicking in again as well. She then yawned and shut her eyes hoping to just rest for a minute but a few minutes went by and she found herself drifting off to sleep. She thought she was going to be waking herself up but then a half hour went by and she soon fell fast asleep, she couldn't help it. She wanted to be awake for when Chance got home but with how deeply she was sleeping he would probably walk into seeing her napping soundly.

Chance enetered the smaller apartment and looked around. It was rather dark in there. Wasn't Alice suppose to be home by now? Making dinner or watching TV like she usually was? He drew his gun. Nothing seemed out of place, but he wasn't going to risk it. He made his way to the living room, his emerald colored eyes scanning the area for his soon to be wife, not that she knew it yet. He shook that thought off, all of his senses burning with strain. He saw her, laying there asleep on the couch. He lowered his gun and made his way over to her, softly slowly, not making a single sound as he leaned down and gently kissed her lips.
"Baby. Wake up. It's pretty late." He whispered softly, gently kissing her again. He smiled softly and looked at the time. 10:30. Yep. She had probably been out for quite some time. He ran his fingers lightly through her hair. "How about I just go get us some food?" He was a horrible cook, and she still looked rather exhausted, he didn't want to push her. "Maybe something simple? I don't want to make you sick again."

She didn't even notice how quickly the time seemed t have slipped by. That the day was slowly turning from mid afternoon to evening. Then it had slipped into dusk and then soon night was upon the area. Alice had no idea it was that late so she just kept sleeping, she didn't even know Chance had come home. She was pretty much dead asleep and didn't notice anything, didn't even notice that it was dark, probably because she had her eyes shut and when she slept she was a heavy sleeper and as tired as she felt before she fell asleep played into it as well. So she just stayed there sleeping soundly where she had put herself.
She was out of it and didn't hear her boyfriend come in. She was just so out of it with how she felt. But then she thought she heard a voice but since she was still asleep she just barely made it out and could tell it belonged to Chance. She then felt him run his fingers through her hair and her eyes then started to flutter open and she looked around and noticed it was dark. Then she shot up and looked around "wh-what time is it?" Alice looked around then checked outside the window and she noticed it was dark and her eyes widened and she then got up quickly and turned the lights on in the house.
Alice then sighed a bit thinking that if she was going to sleep that late she would have kept herself awake. She then looked to Chance and sighed "before we think about food...I have to tell you something..." she then went over to him and then sat back down on the couch and she then gently took his hand. She was nervous but she knew he had to know and it was now or never. "Chance...I'm...I'm pregnant..." so now she guessed if he put everything that's been happening to her together he would know they have been pregnancy symptoms this whole time and she just hoped he wouldn't be angry or upset about it.

Chance blinked a few times. Pregnant? He supposed it had fit. But.... For how long? He looked deep into her eyes, scooping her chin up in his grasp and kissing her lightly. "That's. Wonderful." He had always wanted to be a parent. Always had imagined little ones scampering around the house on the edge of the ocean. Alright so they didn't have a house. Nor were they married just yet. But he would get there eventually.....
"Baby that's great!" He smiled warmly at her and kissed the backs of her hands. He couldn't imagine any situation better. He trusted her, he loved her. He wanted to marry her. He wanted to be the father of her children, to grow old with her. He sighed and shook his head. Daydreaming again. He was doing that an awful lot lately. He supposed he shouldn't tell her about the dangers he had faced that day at work. She'd probably make him quit. "Maybe we should celebrate. Dance under the stars like we used to?" He looked a little more than hopeful at this. A nice quiet dinner on the roof, followed by a nice slow dance under the moon and stars to the sound of their hearts beating. Another small shake of his head. He really was getting off topic wasn't he?
"You just relax, leave dinner to me!" He said it with such confidence that it was almost funny. "Though.... I won't cook... I promise." He smiled and kissed her cheek before heading off to their room to change into more relaxed clothes. After all, he still had a bit of blood on his collar from his earlier fight with that street punk, Axel. He hoped he would never see him again....

She felt her heart pounding just hoping she wouldn't get a bad reaction out of him. That was the last thing she wanted because she loved him so much and carrying his child to her was the best thing she could think of. She knew she wanted to have this baby, but the question if Chance wanted it still hung in her mind and it made her stomach get upset with her nervousness which she didn't need. Because if it kept up then she would most likely end up vomiting again which she didn't want to do. She already did it twice and didn't want to do it three times, so she did everything she could to calm herself down.
But then hearing him speak she looked at him and her face brightened right up. Her heart also slowed and she calmed down which was good, and her sick feeling finally started to leave her as well. She even giggled a bit then hearing him speak again she smiled warmly "that does sound nice, and if your up for it I would love to" Alice then remembered when they used to do that, in the first year of them dating they would do it alot. If they weren't going out for dinner he took her out dancing or vise versa, or sometimes they did both on one date which she loved and wouldn't mind doing it again.
Then she yawned softly still kind of being half asleep. But she looked to Chance with a warm look then gently kissed his cheek. She was also very glad that he wasn't angry or anything with what she had took him. Then hearing him talk about dinner she laughed "oh hun don't worry about it" Alice then sighed a bit then layed back down on the couch. She still felt a little iffy so she wanted to lay down and just see if it would go away even though she felt better when she was sleeping rather then when she was awake but she knew she might be heading to bed soon since it was late already and it had been a long day for her.

He noticed the bit of dried blood in his hair still and decided to shout to her he was taking a quick shower and changing before going to grab dinner. He didn't need to worry her any more than he had already. After all, he was usually home by 8pm sharp. It was pushing 10:30 when he walked through the door, and he hadn't called. He sighed as he slid into the shower. The warm water felt good on his tired muscles. Why had that man been so determined to go? Eh. It didn't matter to him anyways. He'd be freed in the morning if someone paid his bail. Assault on a police officer was a pretty bad crime.
He put on his clothes and walked out about 10 minutes later. "Sorry babe. I was really dirty after work. They had me on the outskirts again." He flopped down on the couch, putting her legs and feet up on his lap. He began rubbing them softly. "So when did you get home?" He asked. By the way she woke up he figured she had been sleeping a lot longer than she had known. He shook his head a bit trying to figure out how differently the situation would have played out if she had been awake the whole time.

She sighed a bit then just stayed on the couch. Alice then shut her eyes for a moment and when she opened up her eyes again she noticed that Chance was gone. But then she heard the water for the shower going and she automatically knew he was in the shower. Which didn't surprise her because with what he did she knew all too well that he came home dirty alot, sometimes he even came home injured which always made her worry. But she noticed that he didn't look like he came home with injures tonight which she thought was good. Because she was already a little stressed as it was so if she had known that it wouldn't have helped.
She then started to rub her belly slightly knowing she was due to take a trip to the doctors. She had been for a first check up already but in another couple weeks she would be due for another one. Alice then shut her eyes again wanting to kind of just go to bed because she started to feel tired again. Food was the last thing in her mind right now she wasn't even really hungry anyway. She would tell Chance she wasn't really hungry and she just wanted to relax and get ready for bed soon. Which she decided to do, Alice then got up and went into the bedroom to figure out what she was going to wear to bed.
She just took out a pair of her lounge pants and put those on, she took off the sweatshirt she was wearing and kept the T-shirt of Chance's on. Alice then yawned once more then came back out and plopped herself on the couch again. But then she noticed her boyfriend come out again and feeling her legs go on his lap and feeling him rub them she quickly relaxed and sighed with content. She then looked to him once more and smiled "I love you hunnie" she then sat up and gently kissed him on the cheek then layed back down and shut her eyes, letting her body relax again and drift away with him gently massaging her.

He kissed her back. "Love you too babe..." He wanted to add more to that but decided against it. If she knew she was the only reason he struggled to live through his job every day, she would definitely stress for his safety. But he couldn't help it. He loved what he did. Helping to protect others, helping to protect her. After all, he was pretty much her bodyguard when they went out. She had so many fans. He shook his head and massaged up her legs a bit. "Why don't we just go to bed babe? You seem tired, and I know I'm utterly exhausted from today......"

She yawned once more just laying there. But she opened up her eyes again to keep herself awake. Because she knew if she kept her eyes shut she would ending up falling asleep again like she did when she got home. Alice then heard him speak again and she smiled warmly and then shut her eyes again as she layed there. Still feeling her belly still feel weird and there wasn't much she could do, she just wanted to go to bed. She then held her head for a minute "ugh...I really don't feel too well with now..." she wanted to get into bed and snuggle into Chance, feel his warmth and embrace, and just fall asleep.
She really didn't want to eat she just wanted to rest for the night. But then she had to pick up on the photo shoot she left early today. She then groaned softly then shook her head "and I have to complete my shoot tomorrow...I couldn't finish it today because I came home early since I got sick at the shoot twice..." Alice was now thinking about calling it off, unless she felt better tomorrow then she could probably get through it, hopefully without getting sick again. But she was going into her third month of pregnancy so the bad symptoms should be gone soon. Which she thought was good because she was getting tired of them.
Alice then felt Chance massaging her legs and she smiled a bit then yawned once more. Then hearing him speak she nodded since she really wanted to. "I think that's a good idea, I'm so tired..." she then rubbed her eyes then got up and stood there for a second to regain herself. Then she headed off into the bedroom and crawled right into bed and snuggled up in the blankets. She got comfy and waited for Chance to join her so she could really get comfy and then fall asleep while being snuggled into him. She then sighed a bit, she was really glad Chance was glad she was now expecting, eased her mind and made her feel better.

Slowly shaking his head he made himself something quick to eat before following her to bed. He had gone most of the day without eating, and after exerting as much energy as he had in that fight, he really needed it. A few minutes passed as he ate and washed his dish, then made his way to their room, sliding into bed next to her. He wondered why she kept stealing his shirts, but laughed a little and ran his hand through her hair. "I love you." He whispered, kissing her forehead gently and pulling her into his arms.
He had always wondered why on earth she had ever fallen for him. Was he really that good of a guy? He didn't seem to think so. He was rugged and tough, yet timid and shy sometimes. He often found himself not being the most friendly of people, yet would still wind up buying a round of drinks for the guys after a big bust. On the other hand, she was sheer perfection in his eyes. He loved her. He'd do anything for her. And the past four years had said something about that. He sighed happily and kissed the top of her head. He had been thinking too much again.
"Alice...." He whispered softly, pulling her close up against him. "I love you."

She was just snuggled up into bed wondering where Chance was. But then she hopped out of bed and then looked noticing he was eating and she giggled. That was one thing that she surely knew about him, he could eat at anything of day. But that was one thing she loved about him, she did feel bad though that she didn't have dinner waiting for him like she always did. But she would make it her mission for tomorrow to have a nice meal waiting for him when he got home after a long and hard day at work. Alice just smiled watching him eat then she quietly headed back into the bedroom and snuggled back into bed.
That then made her think for a minute but then she heard Chance coming into the room. She then smiled then feeling him finally get into bed she smiled more feeling him run his hand through her hair then kiss her. She felt him wrap his arms around him and she snuggled into him. "I love you too" then she got that thought back into her head as she turned and looked to her boyfriend. "Do you have to work tomorrow?" sometimes his days off were a little confusing so the thought she would ask, she knew she had to work tomorrow but they were only going to have her finish the shoot she didn't finish today.
Alice was glad she was only having a half day. Which was good especially if she was going to wake up feeling sick or something she wouldn't want to say all day. Then feeling Chance kiss her she giggled then kissed him back gladly and then snuggled into him more and she smiled warmly. "I love you too Chance" she then gently stroked a strand of his lovely red hair then she kissed him one more time before she felt her eyes getting heavy. She then let out a soft yawn then gently buried her head into Chance's chest and started to drift off to sleep, her fatigue kicking in and plus she had feeling tired since she got home which didn't help.

He smiled and let her sleep, feeling the exhaustion of the day as well. His head was still pounding from earlier. He probably should have gotten that checked out. Oh well. Made it something to do the next day. He did have to work, like always, but he hoped they would put him somewhere where he wasn't in constant danger this time. He watched her sleep, loving how peaceful and calm she looked. It was always like this. He was a night person most of the time, while she was a day person. He loved watching her sleep, watching her relax. He slid his hand down over her stomach and grinned from ear to ear. That was his child in there. He was going to be a father. Just like he always wanted.
Slowly he slid down, keeping her close to him as he did so. He was kind of tired, the fight with Axel still fresh in his mind. He wondered how exactly that one had turned out the way it had. He would be more careful next time that was for sure. Slowly he began to fall asleep. And slowly he fell into a nightmare.
It was about 4am when he awoke from it, jumping up in complete terror, cold sweat dripping off of him. Had he woken her? He looked over towards her and sighed. Still sleeping peacefully. He slipped out of bed. Maybe a cold shower, or a very hot one. He hadn't bothered to look at his pillow as he made his way to the shower. Apparently his head hadn't finished bleeding just yet, as there were patches of his blood left on the pillow.

She just feel asleep since she was just all too tired. So she couldn't stay awake anymore so she passed right out. Feeling her sickness melt away from her since she was in such a deep sleep and of course she felt safe with Chance in bed with her which she was very glad for. Normally she was a heavy sleeper, especially if she was really tired to begin with. Alice sighed with content as she slept getting a bunch of wonderful thoughts through her mind, she couldn't wait until she could find out with gender the baby was. But she knew that wouldn't happen until she was about four or five months into her pregnancy and she was only going on her third month.
She was still sleeping soundly, not knowing Chance had woken up. Until she turned and felt he was gone and felt something wet on his pillow. Alice then woke up and put on the light and noticed blood and that Chance was gone. Her eyes widened and she shot up in bed "Chance, Chance where are you?! Are you alright?!" She got no answer and that made fear rush right into her body as she quickly got out of bed and then looked around, she was hoping she wouldn't find him passed out on the floor somewhere or worse. Thinking that only made her more scared, which made her stomach get upset again.
Being pregnant and having hormones rushing through her body more then normal, mixing with fear wasn't sitting right with her. then she felt her stomach churn and she then rushed to the kitchen where she was closer and vomited. Alice then ran water down the drain to clean it up as she then sighed a bit. She then went back out into the living room then noticed the light on in the bathroom then she went over and gently leaned against the door. She felt tears coming to her eyes "Chance...are you alright...you did get hurt today didn't you..." her voice was soft and she tried her best not to make it sound like she was crying but she really was.

Chance washed the blood from his hair and sighed. Why had it not stopped yet? Was it really getting that bad? He felt a little woozy and decided to sit down on the edge of the tub. He looked at the door as he heard Alice wake up.He had worried her. He sighed again and stood, wrapping a towel around his waist. She was at the door. "Come in darling, I'm fine really." He muttered. He did feel like he was about to pass out, but she didn't need to know that.
"It's nothing really. Probably just scrape that came off in my sleep. It's no big deal really...." But it was and he knew it. "Tell you what. I'll stop at the doctor's tomorrow before work..." He hoped he would make it that long before actually passing out from blood loss. He rubbed his temples. His head hurt a little more than he had thought it would. "Alright... maybe we'll go tonight... Just let me get dressed first kay?"
He smiled lightly. He hated worrying her, especially now that he knew she was pregnant. He smiled lightly and tossed the keys to the car at her as he made his way off to get dressed in something other than a towel. Once he had, he patted her on the head. "If you're that worried... let's go baby...."

She just wanted to know why he hadn't told her why he was hurt. She knew he didn't want to worry her but still she thought it would be nice if he told her things. But then hearing him come out guessing he had gotten back into the shower she looked at him with sad eyes. Scanning him over he sure didn't look fine to her and of course was wasn't doing anything good to her since she had vomited not too long ago. "You sure don't look fine to me...something is wrong..." she was hoping she would be able to take him to the hospital or something because he really didn't look good, by how he looked it seemed like he was getting ready to pass out or something like she thought he would had been already.
Then she noticed him rub his temples which meant his head must have really been bothering him. Alice sighed heavily, wiping her eyes and trying to calm herself down. Then hearing he thought it would be better to go now she nodded a bit. "Ok..I'll go get dressed.." she then went into the bed room and put on a pair of jeans, put her bra back on, then slipped on a tank top and just slipped her flip flops on. She guessed if she got sick again a doctor would be checking her out as well but she didn't want that since right now Chance needed the attention, not her, pregnant or not she wasn't the one injured.
Seeing him dressed she then caught the keys from him then sighed. Feeling his hand on her head she smiled a bit "hun...why didn't you tell me this sooner...this could be serious..." Alice then just sighed more as she opened up the door and went out then down to the car and switched it on, waiting for him. She then gently put her hand on her belly and she felt more tears coming then she leaned back against the seat. "So much for a nice night..." she now had to drive her boyfriend to the hospital not that she wanted to but she wanted to know what was wrong and make sure he was going to be alright.
