It was a rather gloomy day. Mari wasn't entirely sure why she was walking to Shibuya but none the less strolled throught confidently. She smiled softly and hummed a simple tune. The wind blew her silver hair about wildly. Rain began to pour. 'A walk in the rain. Just what I needed.' she thought, her smile widening. Suddenly she tripped, hitting her head on the concrete. "Owww...." She whined, rubbing her sore head. "What tripped me?" She turned to see what looked like a backpack. "Who's is this?" She wondered aloud. "Hey did anybody drop a bag over here?" She yelled out. She heard footsteps behind her. Taking a deep breath she turned around to see who was coming.

Kaoru saw the girl trip over his bag and ran toward her. "I'm so sorry. That's uh...my bag." Kaoru helped the girl up and threw his bag's strap over his head and rested it on his right shoulder. "I'm Kaoru by the way. Kaoru Ichihoshi. Sorry about that." He motioned to his bag and then her. "Guess I shouldn't have left it in the middle of the sidewalk when I left to go draw the flower."Kaoru looked at the girl sheepishly,hoping she wasn't too mad.

Mari smiled. "My name's Mari, Mari Kinhi. Thank you by the way. And don't worry about it, I just need to watch where I'm going." She replied. Mari dusted herself off and looked back at Kaoru. "So what brings you out here other then sketching some flowers?" Mari asked, moving a stray strand of hair behind her ear. One rather big raindrop hit her square on the head, causing her to shiver. 'I should'vr brought a hoodie.' she mused.

Kaoru looked up as it started to rain, cursing under his breath and pulling out his umbrella. He looked to Mari and smiled sheepishly. "Looks like it's decided to rain..."He moved the umbrella so it was covering both of them. "I was actually trying to distract myself...Guess it worked,since I forgot what I was trying to distract myself from."In truth, he did remember. A certain Akito that had been occupying his mind until recently was what he was trying to run away from. 'No need to tell her that though...'Not wanting to be rude,and seeing as the girl in front of her didn't have a hoodie or umbrella, Kaoru decided to ask "Can I walk you to....where ever it was that you were going?" 'If I wasn't gay,I would have been scolding myself for that.....Good thing she's not a guy too...'((sorry for the wait kris, got distracted and almost totally forgot about cbj....))

"Looks like it's decided to rain..." Kaoru said.
"Yeah." Mari agreed smiling. "So why were you out here drawing?"
"I was actually trying to distract myself...Guess it worked,since I forgot what I was trying to distract myself from." The brown haired boy answered.
"Ahh. That's understandable. Shibuya's a great place to get distracted." Mari said. She mile as she felt the rain stopped hitting her head. 'I guess chivalry isn't dead after all.' she thought.
"Can I walk you to....where ever it was that you were going?" her companion asked. Mari nodded.
"That would be very kind of you sir. I was actually just heading back to my apartment." She told him. She took a goold lok at Kaoru and wasn't surprised at how attractive he was. 'Too bad he's probably gay though. I mean, how many straight guys are still chivalrious? None.'

Kaoru smiled. "Alright.Show the way."He gestured out in front of himself,hoping to hell he didn't find Akio out here.'Please please please don't be out here....' Kaoru outwardly smiled at the girl next to him and racked his brain for something to say. This,unfortunately, was the reason he gave up on girls. He could never think of anything to say.

Mari smiled back at Kaoru and began walking back to her apartment.
"So do you have a job? Or do you just sell your drawings?" She asked him. She pulled some of her hair behind her ears to stop it from blowing in her face.
"I myself work at a bookstore in Ginza, and sell some paintings evey now and again." Mari told her new friend.

Kaoru shook his head. "Actually,no. My family is quite rich, so they pay for everything. My parents don't want their little boy to have to do simple-men's work. They won't even let em get a job to help, saying how it was just not like an Ichihoshi to work while going to school." Kaoru made a disgusted face and turned to Mari. "Frankly,I think they lost their marbles long ago,if you know what I mean."

Mari laughed. " Sounds like it. But you're really lucky. My on family was always on the poor side so I've been working as long as I have been able to." she told him. She could see her apartment building not too far away. "There's my building. We better hurry up so we can get out of this rain" She told Kaoru.
