Her work day had finally ended, and now she wanted nothing more to just relax. Maybe even go out and get a quick bite to eat. Her thin legs carried her pixie-like structure down the evening street. The sun was setting, throwing pinks, oranges, and violets into the sky. Her pace soon came to a stop when she saw the sign for the Tokyo Sake bar and Restaurant. Maybe she could grab a burger or something, nothing too fancy. The thought of delicious food made her stomach growl and gurgle. She let out a cute giggle. "Silly tummy." She cooed in a child-like tone, smiling as she gazed at her flat stomach. Though her stomach soon pushed her to pursue the building, taking a step inside, the air brisk and full of buzz. Her dainty hands fixed the goggles atop her head before moving throughout the restaurant.
She took a seat at the bar. It was nearly filled with people, only a good three or four seats left at the end. Amaterasu took the one on the far left, making sure not to get in anyone's way. That was the last thing she needed. Her normal cheery self would have been excited to make friends and meet new people, but work had tired her out. "I'd like a Pepsi please." She said to the man behind the bar. He nodded his head and got to work, sliding the drink her way. She smiled and placed a couple bucks on the counter to pay for the drink. She took a small sip from the cup, savoring every little drop she could. The less money she spent, the better. She couldn't be spending her money like it was nothing, not yet at least.
Once - and if - she got signed to a contract, then she would be able to treat herself to something nice, but only then. She had been working on her singing for quite some time now, but it hadn't been a career she had thought about. Sure, she thought she was a good singer, though it had only seemed like a hobby or pastime. Something to do in the car or while she was cleaning. Another sip of soda was taken from her glass, the cool liquid sliding down her throat. There was nothing here for her to do, and she wondered why she had even come in here. It might have been the loneliness that had driven her here. She had always been good at making friends, though now it sounded more like a bad idea.
A sigh escaped her pink lips. An elbow propped up on the counter, her head in her hand.

Riley was yawning rather obnoxiously, his limp hand over his gaping mouth was a feeble attempt at a polite gesture. Afterwards he rubbed his blue eyes which had watered up a bit in that entire process. Despite how distracted and overall uninterested he seemed, Riley was doing a rather good job weaving around the large crowd of people that always seemed to gather at this time of day... Like him, they were probably all getting out of their daytime jobs, and there were even a few dragging themselves to work for the 'graveyard shift'. Even though Riley complained about how demanding his job was, he had to be grateful he didn't have to show up at the end of the day or in the middle of the night. Plus, even if everyone involved in his music were mentally unstable somehow, at least he was doing something he liked to do...
Glancing up at the sunset, Riley realized he suddenly wanted to be in a place of solitude. That was impossible in Tokyo... He didn't like living here much, and was hoping he could move somewhere quieter sometime soon.
Just as someone bumped into his shoulder, he felt his cell phone vibrate in his pocket. With a rather tired expression, Riley pulled it out and realized he'd received a text message. He didn't recognize the number, so it must have been some random girl that got a hold of his number somehow. And, once he opened the message, he realized that it was flirty and a bit annoying. After rolling his eyes and returning his cell phone to his pocket, Riley tugged on his scarf and realized he was a bit hungry.
He didn't feel like cooking at all... Not even heating something up back at his apartment. That's why he decided to find a place to eat, but he didn't care where it was. That's why he walked into the first restaurant he saw.
Upon entering, he was immediately annoyed at how crowded everything was... Actually, he considered leaving on the spot and giving into doing some extra work to get something to eat, but that was before he spotted a familiar girl sitting at the end of the bar. He raised his eyebrow, curiously, before silently and covertly approaching her from behind. Noticing she was wearing goggles, he reached over and pulled them over her eyes from behind, before sliding into the seat next to her.
"Pepsi? Don't you think that's a little fancy?" He told her sarcastically, casually pointing at the glass she was drinking out of.

She was rather bored, and actually thinking about hitting this popsicle stand. That was until her goggles were pulled over her eyes by someone. "Pepsi? Don't you think that's a little fancy?"
[/i] That voice sounded highly familiar. Amaterasu looked over at the boy, lifting the goggles from her eyes. She smiled lightly. "That's me. I'm just a fancy kind of person." The words tripped off the tongue. She looked back at the Pepsi, gripping it in her hand before taking a sip. She could have sworn she had seen this guy before, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. That just meant she would have to find out his name. Maybe then it would ring a bell in her head. The room buzzed with chatter. It was horrid. Tokyo was way too crowded. No matter where you went you ran into people. Sure, she liked people, loved making friends, but sometimes it was just overwhelming. Especially when not everyone was nice. You accidentally bump into someone and they flipped off on you. Amaterasu shook the thought out of her mind. Her eyes landed on the boy, holding her hand out. "I'm Amaterasu." She introduced with a smile. She thought she might as well be friendly, though she couldn't really not be friendly. It just came naturally. For the most part she thought she was being quite clever with finding out who this sarcastic young man was. She gnawed on her lower lip, racking the back of her mind for any details. Still nothing. She just dropped it. Her mouth was beginning to feel a bit dry, so she subconsciously picked up the drink. It sent a cool river through her body before it hit her stomach. It felt hollow. Eating was probably the best answer. She hadn't eaten since lunch while she was at work. Amaterasu looked down at the counter. If she were to get something to eat, what would she have? She was horrible at making decisions. The young girl was pretty much lost in thought. The loud roar from the people around her had been dimmed down to a soft murmur by her own consciousness. Her eyes staring off at something that wasn't even there. She had nearly forgotten she had someone willing to talk right next to her. The thump of a glass hitting the counter snapped her from her never-ending thoughts. For a second, she nearly forgot where she was at. Amaterasu giggled as she looked over at the company beside her. "I totally zoned out." She giggled again. Her hand met her hair, taking a few loose strands and tucking them back behind her ear. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

He resisted the urge to sort of smirk in a satisfied way once he heard her response. It was good that she decided to play along with his sarcasm, because he hated it when people took him too seriously. That always seemed to cause unnecessary drama that gave him headaches. Seeing the pepsi did get him a bit thirsty himself, but he wasn't ready on ordering something to drink just yet.
But now she was introducing herself, and Riley wondered if she remembered him at all. Well, if she didn't then that was a bit embarrassing on his end, but he tried not to get hung up about it. If she didn't remember him, it wasn't really a big deal. Maybe it was just him and his strange ability to remember someone's face. This isn't the first time that it's happened, so it wasn't like he was going to slam his head on the bar... Although that would be humorous, plus it would get him to sleep quicker.
He stared at her hand for a moment after she introduced herself. Then, he gently held the tips of her fingers between his index finger and thumb before slightly shaking it up and down. It was up to her to determine whether this 'handshake' of his was cute or insulting. He didn't look her in the eyes when he introduced himself as well.
"Riley." Then, after watching someone complain about the price of their meal somewhere in the resteraunt, before looking up at her face. She seemed to be struggling with some sort of mental turmoil. Was she trying to figure out who he was? Who knows.
It was then that someone finally approached him and asked what he'd like. Looking back at the pepsi, simultaniously realizing Amaterasu was spacing out, Riley decided he should go right ahead and out-do her.
"Iced water." He simply stated, giving the man behind the bar a bored expression. The man shrugged and before long the iced water was sitting right in front of him.
It was then that she realized she'd spaced out, although he honestly hadn't been paying much attention to that. She didn't apologize for it, which didn't bother him.
"Maybe you need someone more interesting to talk to," he suggested with a small shrug.

He didn't seem too excited or really interested. It made her wonder why he had begun talking to her. She still smiled sweetly though. He took her fingers in between his index and thumb, shaking it gently. She wasn't quite sure what to think about it, though she did side him a look of confusion. Amaterasu stole another sip from her Pepsi before setting it back down on the counter. "Riley."
[/i] He said simply. That name rang a bell in her head. Then it hit her like a ton of bricks. She bit down on her lower lip. She wanted to say something, but she didn't want to say the wrong thing and come off as rude. Once she had finished zoning out she realized he now had a drink sitting in front of him. An ice water. She watched as small drops of water trickled down the cup. Her gaze then nervously went back up to Riley. Amaterasu felt like she was being rude. Something bugged her about this conversation. "Maybe you need someone more interesting to talk to,"[/i] He suggested, his shoulders shrugging slightly. Her mouth almost gaped at his choice of words. She held her hands up defensively, nodding her head. He had totally gotten the wrong idea. It wasn't that at all. "No, it's not that. It's something completely different." The words spewed from her mouth. Now she felt stupid. Her mind raced, hoping to find something else to say. "It's just that I coulda sworn I remembered you from somewhere," She stated. "You seem so familiar." The tone was soft, and her voice was quite low. She wouldn't be surprised if he didn't quite understand her. Amaterasu looked back at her drink, running her finger around the rim. A small sigh escaped her lips, her eyes glancing over at the boy. She let a somewhat hopeful smile onto her lips. A dainty hand picked up her drink, stealing another small sip. The roar of the people around them came back. It was hard to push the noise of Tokyo out of her head. Her eyes watched as the guy behind the bar worked, scurrying around to get people what they wanted. Reminded her too much of her job. If only she could get her singing career kicked off. All she could do was sing, sing, sing and hope for the best. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]
