The night air was calm and cool. And yet there was something about it he hated. The rain that was falling too heavy for him to see out of the windows of the cab. He couldn't see. That's what bothered him. He needed to get from home to work. End of story. But would he? Not on this evening. This evening was one that would be different from others. This evening would be one where he was pushed to his limits by man and nature alike.
"Would you watch where you're going? You've almost hit 3 other cars!" He was in the back seat of the cab, clinging to the tightening seatbelt as the driver swerved through traffic.
"I'm sorry sir, but this rain is too heavy." Akira was growing too frightened to stay in the car much longer.
"Just pull over then. I'll give you your pay and walk he rest of the way." He stared out the window. "Did you not hear me? Pull over!"
The cab driver did as he was told and moved to the curb where Akira paid him and got out to walk. He hated being in cars when the rain was heavy. It reminded him of the accident with his parents. No one really knew how he had survived almost completely unscathed, while both of his parents had died. He shuddered and moved on, carefully taking his time.
That's when it happened. There would be no happy endings this time. No walking away unhurt by what had happened. The last thing he could remember was the squealing of the tires unable to stop on the wet surface, and the sound of sirens in the distance.
!@#$%^&*(-)
A few days had passed before he had finally woke up in the hospital. His head pounded, his body felt like it was on fire, and yet, his mind was happily numb. "What.... happened?" He asked, looking around his room. It was eerily white, and surprisingly quiet other than the small beeping of the monitor next to him tracking his heart and breathing rates.
He attempted to sit up, and realized that one of his legs was encased in the plaster that held most broken bones together. How had he broken his leg again? He slowly rubbed his eyes, reading the board on the other side of the room.
"Patient: Unknown. Doctor: Takagawa Family: Unknown Reason for Hospitalization: Car accident"
He 'hmm'ed a bit. Car accident? He didn't remember breaking his leg in that accident. One of the nurses noticed he was awake and quickly waddled into the room. "Ohayo gozaimasu. Good to see that you're awake. Do you remember your name?"
He blinked a few times. "I was in an accident?" He asked lightly. He knew that was not the response she was looking for, but she nodded, then proceeded to ask for his name again. "Akira. Akira de'Enguarde." He looked over at the bed next to him to find it empty. Of course he was alone.
"Please miss. Can you tell me what happened?" He prodded, he didn't remember being in a car. He didn't remember the rain, or the fight with the cabbie, or the squealing of the tires.
"Birthdate?" She asked, obviously trying to do her job before answering any of his questions. Must have been important to know his information. But why didn't they just look at his ID for his information?
"August 15th. Umm... where's my wallet? Couldn't you have just gotten my medical number and identification from that?" He asked lightly.
"You didn't have one on you sir."
He sighed a little. Of course he didn't. Probably got stolen again. She asked more questions, he continued to answer them, including his place of employment, age, where he lived, what school he went to, and other valuable pieces of information.
"Parents that we can contact? It's rather important since you are only 16 years of age."
His eyes fell to the ground. "I have no parents. They died a long time ago.... I live on my own." The nurse dipped her head and wandered out of the room, leaving him to wallow in his thoughts.

Chaos. That was the only word he could come up with as he walked into the hospital, there were plenty of reason why he didn't come here that often, but the madness of it was entirely one of the many reasons he could think of. Walking in the boy flashed his visitor's ID before proceeding in. He was visiting his father today, not something he was really pleased about doing, but his manager insisted on him connecting with his family a little bit more even if they were the ones that kicked him out to begin with. In the fifteen year old's arms were flowers, chocolate, and a get well teddy bear. Sighing, he was regretting buying all of this stuff knowing that it was only going to get thrown back into his face.
Room 104. This is where his father was now residing until he was back on his feet. With a small knock, Prince strolled into the room. "Evening, Papa." Was all he could say to him. The room fell into complete silence before he opened his lips to say more. "I brought you your favorite chocolates." Setting the small box in front of his bed and as he stepped to put the flowers in a vase, his father glared at him.
"Are you trying to give me diabetes you moronic boy?!" Yelling loud enough for anyone down the hall could hear, "What the hell are you doing here? Didn't I disown you once you decided to live with that fag?!"
Figures, his father didn't approve of his living situation, but he wasn't going to allow this man talk about Drake that way. "Papa, I've asked you not to him call him that. It's rude." Prince spoke as calmly as he possibly could, he wasn't sure how long that would hold. "Drake is a good man and will take care of me; besides I have enough money to live." Each time he mentioned his lover's name it always brought a smile to his face, but that was quickly wiped away the moment his father threw a book from his nightstand in his face.
"Get the hell out of this room!" Yelling once again.
This time Prince didn't hesitate to leave, grabbing what he came in with, the boy sped walked down the halls. A nurse who was near by asked if he was okay. Nodding his head he said yes although there was an obvious bruise on the temple. Not bothering to tell her what happened, he was sure that she had already knew. Everyone always did. Slowing down finally to catch his breath, Prince stopped in front of a room. Peeking inside, he noticed a boy sitting their with his head down. Did he not have an visitors? The boy wasn't sure, but he walked in anyways.
"Ah, sorry." Apologizing almost immediately, "You don't know me, but saw you just now and thought you might like these." A warm smile was left on his lips. Still holding the gifts in his arms. Prince noticed the shape that the other boy was in and wondered what exactly happened. An accident? Maybe, that was pretty common on such a rainy day like this. He wasn't going to ask though, that was something that was none of his business. "Erm. My name is Prince Tokugawa, by the way." Trying to fill the silence once again. He hated silence, it was the one thing he could never get used to.

Akira heard the nurses from the chaos a few rooms down from him. He wondered what exactly what was going on, and strained himself a little to try and see. No luck. He sighed a bit and looked down into his lap. he hated hospitals, he always had. What on earth had possessed him to walk outside and get hit by that car? Why hadn't he just called in sick? He sighed again and shook his head. It's not like he could change anything now.
A few moments had passed and the chaos seemed to subside a little. That's when he heard the person enter his room. He had.... gifts? For him? He looked around as they were presented to him. No. He was the only one in the room. He nodded his head slowly. Prince eh? Strange name for being in Japan. "Umm... I'm Akira." He bowed his head a little bit. He didn't mind people calling him by his first name, he never had, having grown up in London. He was good at hiding the accent though. "Nice to meet you, Prince...err.. Tokugawa-san." He was still getting used the way the people in Japan spoke versus the rudeness of other countries.
((i dont mind at all. sorry its so short XD I just woke up))

Taking a few steps closer, the boy set the teddy bear and chocolates on the bed. The flowers were neatly placed in a vase nearby, looking at Akira once again; he couldn't help, but to notice the broken leg. Something bad must have happened, well no shit, being in a hospital of course something had to happen to land there. Noticing a seat at the boy's bedside, Prince didn't hesitate to take a seat. It was obvious to tell that this person was lonely and all the teen could do was offer him some company until the nurses told him to leave. Upon hearing the other's name, all he could do was nod happily.
"Please just call me Prince, I'm not very accustomed with Japan's way of speaking to others." Rubbing the back of his head realizing how formal he was speaking right now, "I was born and raised in Bulgaria." Unsure why he was giving this stranger so much information about himself, but it felt nice to actually talk to someone without potentially getting murdered for speaking up like his family did. Being homosexual wasn't something they were too pleased about and to hear him living with a man was enough to give people a heart attack.
Still even though he filled the silence, he couldn't help to notice the sad look in the other's eyes. Attempting to direct his attention somewhere else, Prince pointed at Akira's leg, "So what happened to you to end up this hell hole?" Trying to bring a little humor and maybe a small smile on the boy. As a model, smiling was natural, but he loved to see someone smiling from the heart rather than posing for other idiots like a dress up doll.
------ OOC: don't worry about it! same here. xD

A soft smile crept across the boy's face. "I was born and raised in London. My parents moved us here 5 years ago. I'm still trying to get used to it." He looked at the items set on his bed. Fine chocolates and a teddy bear. He decided to be polite and simply accept the gifts, rather than telling the other boy that he rather detested chocolate. "Thank you for all this... Do you make a habit of simply giving complete strangers gifts?" He asked. He wondered if the gifts were meant for someone else.... and that maybe that someone else was no longer there. "Uhh.. Gomen. I didn't mean to be rude." If that was the case he felt overly bad now.
Akira looked down at his broken leg. He supposed it could have been much worse than the concussion and minor injuries he had obtained. "Car accident I think. I don't really remember being hit by a car. But apparently I was while walking across a street." It was a simple enough response, and he smiled a little again. He hated the thought that both of the car accidents he had been in he could have died, but didn't.
"So. What brings you here? Other than just stumbling into my room and giving me random gifts. Were you supposed to meet with someone?" He asked lightly, again thinking of the chance that maybe that person wasn't there anymore. He shivered a bit. The person next to him couldn't possibly be too much older than he was, but he certainly was beautiful. Akira blushed a little and shook it off. He really needed to stop thinking that about people.

He figured it was some kind of accident, but it must have been hard to not know what exactly happened. Prince wondered what could have been on the boy's mind to not even pay attention, of course he was going to be rude about it and ask instead to stayed silent until he heard the question and just laughed, "Hm. If I did something like that then they really wouldn't let me back in here no matter how famous I am." He replied jokingly to him. That honestly did make his night feel so much better after just visiting his father. "It's fine, I needed something to cheer me up." Now directing a wholehearted smile at Akira.
"Actually I came to visit my father," replying gently still feeling his head throbbing after being hit with what felt like a dictionary, "but as you probably heard from down the hall; we don't particularly get along." He knew visiting the old man was a mistaken and yet his manager insist on him connecting with his family again and getting to the bottom of the problems. Prince already knew what the problem was, it was him so staying away was probably the best gift he could possibly give the old man.
Still, the green haired boy was capable of keeping a smile on his face as he continued talking. "As if going into the entertainment world wasn't bad enough, he found out about me being homosexual and living with a man. Thus had a stroke and ended up here." This time he wasn't joking, but part of him couldn't really care anymore. It had been like that for years and every time he said he was going to ship him back to his mother, but never did. He was sure by now she was long dead.
"So trying to be the oh so caring son I am, I came to visit bearing gifts like Santa Claus..." He pretended he was caring a large sack of presents over his shoulder, "Only to get a book thrown at my head." Now pointing to the large purple bruise that rested on the temple of his head. He wasn't sure if his father was trying to kill him or not, but he sure as hell seemed like it.

Akira looked down again, folding his hands in his lap. "That sounds.... Rather horrible. I'm sorry Prince." He whispered. He had always gotten along well with his family, and it wasn't that he didn't know who they were or where they were, it was just that he had no family left. Everyone was gone. Neither of his parents had had siblings, and their parents were long dead. He was alone. Utterly, completely alone. Akira shook his head a bit as the nurse popped in to check on him. So Prince was like him. He blushed a little again and shook it off. It was hard being gay sometimes.
"At least you have someone...." He muttered. There was almost resentment in his voice, but he held off for a bit. He didn't want to seem rude or anything, the company was awful nice and he didn't want to force Prince to leave. "My entire family is gone.... And I have yet to find a lover that will spend time with me...."

Patting Akira on the top of his head, Prince smiled to himself thinking about how cute the boy was looking at the moment. Just hearing the other apologize was enough to let small giggle escape his lips, "Its fine, I guess it could have been worse." Trying to stay as positive as possible for this person, "At least he didn't throw knives at me." Well he probably would have if he had access to any and thank god his uncle was no where to be found at the moment. Turning to wave at the nurse, he looked back at Akira; leaning on his bed.
"At least you have someone...."
His expression didn't change besides the obvious ting of a blush that was creeping upon his cheeks. Sitting up slightly, the boy listened closely feeling a small frown now. Brushing a hand through the other's hair, Prince held Akira's hand. Honestly, he didn't know what to say, but he felt that he should at least try to say something.
"When I was six years old, my mother was killed." He suddenly said still keeping a solomn look in his eyes, "Everyone thinks it was a simple car accident, but I believe my father's wife killed her or someone in that family." His calm tone didn't sway as he let out a heavy sigh, "You see I am the son of my father's mistress and a wife's jealousy is the most scariest thing to come by. She's a woman who would do anything to wipe out competition." Prince surprised himself that he was able to stay so calm and not even feel a single tear in his eye. Well, that was probably because he had cried himself out a long time ago.
Breaking out of his silence, this time the young boy smiled as he squeezed the other's hands. His eyes were filled with warmth and honestly he felt excitement running though him. "And don't put yourself down Akira! You are very cute and I'm absolutely positive that someone will find you and fall deeply in love with you."

Akira smiled a bit. "You're being so open with me. Are you sure that's a good idea?" He asked lightly. After all, this boy's father was just a few rooms down from him. If they were seen together maybe they would jump to the wrong conclusions and do something to harm either one of the boys. Another soft smile as Prince said he would find someone. But he doubted that. Then again..... He had run into that pick pocket a few more times. He shivered and felt a small blush creep onto his cheeks. Love at first sight with that one.
"So. What do you have planned after this whole little visit with me?" He looked at the clock. It was only early in the afternoon, and there wasn't really anything that he needed to accomplish, or could accomplish other than laying in a hospital bed. He hated hospitals. If his leg wasn't broken and if he wasn't on such good pain killers he would have run out of there screaming by now. But no. He was content just sitting there, relaxing the day away. "Oh shit.... I wonder if they called my boss like I asked them to. After all. Being in the hospital is a good enough excuse to miss work right?" He asked, followed by a soft sigh.
If he lost his job he'd lose everything. And not just everything in the normal sense either. He was supporting himself completely, with only that one job and what little inheritance money he had left. And not only that, but he wouldn't be able to afford to have his things moved somewhere safe. He wouldn't be able to afford food, clothes..... batteries for his flashlight. He shivered. He really needed to stop thinking like that.
Thunder struck through the sky, making the lights flicker. "Uhh... this place has a back up generator right......?"
